Our compliments to the developers and sustainers of the East Coast Trail. Our hikes included the Beaches, Tinkers Point, La Manche Village and Caplin Bay Paths during the week of 15 August 2010, and all were outstanding ! We enjoyed the changes of scenery and terrain we encountered, and the trails were extremely well maintained. We also enjoyed our close encounters with many beautiful songbirds along the trail.
We are in our late 50's and encountered no difficulties in hiking the paths, and we heartily recommend these and the many others in the East Coast Trail group.
Thanks again for a great hiking experience.

I dream of hiking the trail one day. I suggest that you include a small outline map of the trail on your webpage. Nothing too detailed, just a "visual" for visitors to your site.

This is definitely one of the most beautiful trails I have ever hiked. I hiked from St. John's to Ferryland 8 years ago, just walked around the bay, out of St. John's and kept going. This year I came again with a friend and a car, so I did it mostly as day hikes and did the newly completed northern sections and the trails from Cappahayden to Aquaforte. I loved the trail. loved the landscape, loved looking down from cliffs at the whales. Heaven.

We had a very good time last in July/August last year. We hiked the most parts of the East Coast Trail and of the Discovery Trail (Bonavista). Special thanks to Elke Dettmer for organization and the first accommodation. Also to all other B&B's.
