Hiker Notice: Blasting at Robin Hood Bay

We have been informed that a scheduled blast will occur at Robin Hood Bay on Wednesday, December 21 at 8:00 am on the east end of the landfill site in the quarry area. The blast was originally planned for Sunday, December 18, but was rescheduled due to weather. Marshalls will be stationed along the East Coast Trail on Sugarloaf Path to inform hikers who may be in the area at the time. The public are asked to avoid this area on Wednesday morning.
