Vice President of Fundraising & Revenue 

The Vice President of Fundraising & Revenue is a strategic executive leadership role responsible for overseeing all fundraising and revenue-generating activities to achieve the Association’s funding goals. Reporting to the President and serving on the Executive Committee and Board of Directors, this position leads comprehensive fundraising strategies across project funding, revenue generation, events, corporate partnerships, and planned giving. The VP manages the Fundraising & Revenue Committee and directs staff and volunteers in planning and executing work plans to secure essential Association funding. This executive volunteer opportunity seeks a visionary fundraising leader with proven experience in building partnerships and achieving results. Vice President of Community Relations

The Vice President of Community Relations is a strategic executive leadership role serving on the Board of Directors, responsible for seeking and maintaining trail protection through town and regional planning processes. Reporting to the President, this position leads the Community Relations Committee in building vital relationships with town councils and stakeholders to support trail access rights and community-based protection. The VP guides community relations strategy while overseeing memorandums of understanding, planning initiatives, and the Community Ambassador Program. This executive volunteer opportunity seeks a strategic leader with strong relationship management experience who enjoys solving complex challenges through collaboration. Vice President of Volunteers & Membership

The Vice President of Volunteers & Membership is a strategic executive leadership role serving on the Board of Directors and Executive Committee, responsible for volunteer and member recruitment, management, and retention. Reporting directly to the President, this position leads the Volunteers & Membership Committee in developing comprehensive strategies across volunteer management, membership development, awards and recognition programs, and membership services. The VP guides overall V&M strategy while overseeing program execution from recruitment through retention. This executive volunteer opportunity seeks an experienced leader with a proven track record in strategic planning, HR and building engagement initiatives that drive organizational growth. Chair, Governance & Oversight Committee 

The Chair of the Governance & Oversight Committee is a strategic leadership role responsible for establishing and maintaining the Association’s governance framework. This position leads the committee in developing key governance documents including committee charters, role definitions, and organizational policies. Working closely with the President, the Chair documents and reviews the Association’s governance system biannually, ensuring effective organizational structure and compliance. The Chair reports into the Board Chair. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational skills, governance experience, and the ability to manage documentation processes. This executive volunteer position offers the opportunity to shape organizational effectiveness while ensuring accountability and governance standards across Association operations.

Director, Governance & Oversight (Finance & Accounting)

The Director of Governance & Oversight for Finance and Accounting is a specialized oversight role responsible for supporting financial assurance activities and ensuring robust financial governance within the Association. This position works closely with the VP Finance & Administration to conduct financial diagnostics, policy reviews, and system assessments while identifying and monitoring high-risk actions and gap closure plans. The Director ensures finance policies are adequate and current, confirms compliance requirements are embedded in operational practices, and participates in external auditor selection. This position reports to the Chair of the Governance & Oversight Committee and is a member of the Board of Directors.

The Director provides regular status reports to the Governance and Oversight Committee and may provide short-term coverage for the VP Finance & Administration during vacancies if requested. The ideal candidate will have strong financial background, governance experience, and the ability to work collaboratively with finance teams while maintaining independent oversight. This executive volunteer position offers the opportunity to strengthen organizational financial integrity and accountability.

Director, Governance & Oversight (Governance)

The Director of Governance & Oversight (GOC) for Governance is a strategic oversight role responsible for ensuring effective board governance and continuous improvement of organizational practices. This position conducts biennial board effectiveness reviews and works with the President and Executive Committee to incorporate high-priority actions into workplans. The Director benchmarks governance practices, monitors completion of improvement action plans, and supports the Committee Chair in maintaining governance document templates.

This role develops orientation programs for board and executive members on their roles and responsibilities. The Director acts as designate for the GOC Chair when required and monitors governance improvements organization-wide. The ideal candidate will have strong governance experience, analytical skills, and the ability to work effectively with senior leadership while driving continuous improvement. This executive volunteer position offers the opportunity to strengthen organizational governance effectiveness and board performance and is a member of the Board of Directors.
