Annual General Meeting
The 2014 East Coast Trail Association AGM will take place Wednesday evening, October 8th at the Foran Room, St. John’s City Hall. Doors open at 6:30 pm, for a 7:00 pm start. The agenda will include reports on the past year’s activities, approval of the audited financial statements, and elections to the Board of Directors.

We’re seeking candidates to fill five vacancies on the Board of Directors: three vice-president assignments and two director positions. We’re looking for individuals who have a deep love and respect of the trail and who possess skills and expertise to help keep the trail in good shape, attract volunteers and members, and raise funds. Here’s a brief description of the positions available:
Vice-president, Trail Management: The primary responsibility of the VP/TM is to lead the work of the Trail Management Committee (TMC). The TMC plans and manages trail maintenance, enhancement, and development. In addition, TMC oversees trail standards, quality assurance, and the trail custodian program. The VP/TM is a member of the Executive Committee and the Board of Directors.
Vice-president, Membership & Volunteers: The primary responsibility of the VP/MV is to lead the work of a Membership & Volunteers Committee (MVC). The MVC plans and manages activities related to membership and volunteer recruitment and retention. The VP/MV is a member of the Executive Committee and the Board of Directors.
Vice-president, Fundraising & Revenue: The primary responsibility of the VP/FR is to lead the work of the Fundraising & Revenue Committee. The FRC plans and manages activities related to fundraising events, fundraising campaigns, project & program funding, and product development and sales. The VP/MV is a member of the Executive Committee and the Board of Directors.
Director ( 2 positions): A candidate for a director position should be able to support the work of one of the six core committees of the Board (Trail Management, Membership and Volunteers, Marketing and Communications, Land and Legal, Finance and Administration, Fundraising and Revenue).
