Their Story:
Owners Cory Byrne and Preston McGrath first met while working oil & gas offshore Newfoundland over a decade ago and quickly became good friends. It was here that they began to discuss what they felt was missing in the beautiful and quickly growing community of Torbay, NL.
When a building that had once served as the town’s post office, and a staple in the community, became vacant they knew they had to move quickly, and “The Post Taphouse” was born.
Along the Father Troys Trail section of the East Coast Trail, The Post Taphouse boasts a spacious bar with dining area and a large deck with ocean views and picturesque scenery that both locals and tourists from all over flock to admire.
At the Taphouse, the primary focus is to support local by proudly showcasing an extensive selection of local craft beer and spirits from across our region. They believe in promoting and celebrating the talent and craftsmanship of our local brewers and distillers, offering their patrons a diverse range of flavors and experiences that truly represent the spirit of this province.
In addition to their dedication to local craft beer and spirits, they take pride in our food menu that incorporates the same concepts. By infusing their house recipes with craft beer and fresh local ingredients, they aim to provide their customers with more than just a great meal – they strive to create an unforgettable dining experience.
