East Coast Trail & Trans Canada Trail

Potential Partnership

The Trans Canada Trail will commemorate the 150th Anniversary of Canada’s confederation in 2017, announcing that the Trans Canada Trail is now coast to coast to coast.

The TCT proposes that the East Coast Trail extend the TCT from the Railway Station on Water St. in St. John’s to Cape Spear. The ECTA board has entered into discussions with the TCT and requests the input of members on this proposed partnership.

The initiative falls within ECTA’s 2013 Strategic Plan, helping to build the foundation we need to seek and achieve sustainability for the Trail and the Association.

Members are invited to review the information below for some of the considerations under discussion at the board level.
