Board of Directors

The Nominations Committee is currently seeking candidates to fill the following Board positions:

 

Vice-president, Fundraising & Revenue:

Are you looking for an exciting new challenge with the opportunity to make a difference and help us seek and achieve a sustainable funding model for the East Coast Trail? We are in the process of working with BDO & M5 to develop and implement a new fundraising & revenue strategy and we are looking for a champion to lead the way. We are looking for a passionate and enthusiastic volunteer who truly wants to help create and implement change. We are looking for a leader who will manage the organizations current fundraising programs, oversee the development and execution of strategies to meet and exceed the organization’s fundraising goals though existing revenue channels, as well as though the expansion and/or creation of new fundraising programs within a broader market. The Vice-president is responsible for the mandate of the Fundraising & Revenue Committee, reports into the President and is a member of the Board of Directors.

Vice-president, Finance & Administration:

Are you looking for an exciting new challenge with the opportunity to make a difference and help us define and implement the accounting policies, processes and systems required to provide the foundation we need to sustain the East Coast Trail? We are planning to initiate a consultant supported project this fall to benchmark the current state performance of our accounting and financial systems, define our future state requirements and the action plan required to make it happen. If you love the trail and have the passion, enthusiasm, expertise, skills and experience needed to support this volunteer position, and truly want to help create and implement change, give us a call. The Vice-president is responsible for the mandate of the Finance & Administration Committee, reports into the President and serves on the Board of Directors. The major duties of the committee include: accounting services, operating & project reporting, financial planning & budgeting, human resources management, office & administrative services and building the team.

Vice-president, Community Relations:

Are you looking for an exciting new challenge with the opportunity to make a difference and help us seek and achieve a sustainable trail protection model that will support the long-term preservation of the East Coast Trail? Our prime objective to secure and maintain the rights-of-way and trail corridor required to protect and preserve the Trail for future generations. We have just completed a project to identify & document landownership, as well as provincial and municipal zoning all wrapped into a new GIS system and we are looking for person who loves the trail and is passionate about preserving it for future generations. We are looking for a passionate and enthusiastic volunteer, a leader who truly wants to help create and implement change. Vice-president is responsible for the mandate of the Community Relations Committee, reports into the President and serves on the Board of Directors. The major duties of the committee include: land investigation & analysis, town plans & business, community outreach & communication, research & legislation, negotiating access & rights-of-way and building the team.
