Meet Time/Location: Meet a few minutes before 9:00 AM at the Flamber Head Path trailhead in Brigus South.
Parking: https://maps.app.goo.gl/qC76joZNeBaxW8pt6 - Take the left turn off Route 10 to Brigus South, and follow the road 2 km into the community. Reaching the harbour, park on the north side, at the Flamber Head trialhead, or at the beach pullout on the harbour's south side. Do not block the community wharf or other local access.
Volunteer Maintenance Outing – Flamber Head Path
Come help us prune trees and vegetation on Flamber Head Path. The outing may include activities such as brushing, lopping, trimming, slash carry, fire pit remediation and water bar clearing. Hand tools, such as lopers and pruning shears, will be used. Hikers must be prepared to hike at least 3 km (approximately 1 hour, both in and out) while carrying tools.
Preregistration for this outing is required but experience is not! We will provide training in East Coast Trail pruning standards at the beginning of the outing. To get more details about the outing, and to register, follow the Register Now link on the left.
