Ferryland Tely-Hike a Success!

Friday, June 10, 2016

On June 4, 426 hikers celebrated International Trails Day with the East Coast Trail Association.

Ferryland hosted the day and the Southern Shore Folk Arts Council provided the venue and the delicious meal.

Hikers rendezvoused at the Bernard Kavanagh Premises then launched off to Calvert, Aquaforte, over the Gaze and out to the Lighthouse and back.

Hikers from Toronto, Halifax, Cape Broyle, Clarenville, Harbour Grace, Ferryland, St. John’s and points in between and beyond helped raise over $65,000. in this annual fund raiser.

These funds are critical to the sustainability of the ECTA and our mission to maintain and protect the trail.

Thank you to all the participants and to the 66 volunteers who helped make this day a success!

Team, individual and door prizes were generously donated by our sponsors. Thank You to All!
