Hiking Survey Underway
Monday, July 8, 2013
The ECTA is conducting a survey this summer beginning July 15th and running to October. Interviewers will be stationed at a selection of trailheads to find out who is using the trail, which paths are being used the most, and how much money people spend as a result of their use of the trail. This is part of the 2013 Economic Impact Study that will allow us to measure the contribution that the East Coast Trail is making to the economy of the province, and of the region. The results will also be of enormous help to ECTA in our future planning. The interviewers will be counting hikers as they arrive at trailheads, and asking hikers to answer a few questions. In addition, they will be handing hikers longer questionnaires, to be completed later – or asking that they complete a questionnaire online. If you have any further questions – please contact the ECTA office.
