The ECTA is a registered charity and not-for-profit responsible for managing, maintaining and protecting the East Coast Trail. Our mission is to provide a sustainable wilderness hiking experience by enhancing, protecting, developing, and maintaining the Trail, a 336 km coastal wilderness hiking trail on the eastern edge of Newfoundland’s Avalon Peninsula.

We are recruiting Trail Crew Workers for our seasonal Trail Crew. This position has a critical role assisting with construction, enhancement, and maintenance work along the East Coast Trail. In this position, you are responsible for activities such as removing downed trees, brushing and pruning, slash removal, building of trail structures, procuring stepping stones, and transporting materials & tools along the Trail.

You will be the boots on the Trail, building, maintaining, and enhancing the world-class paths that make up the East Coast Trail. This is a physically demanding job, requiring hiking several kilometres daily while transporting tools and equipment.
