The East Coast Trail Association is a non-for-profit, registered charity that is a volunteer managed and membership based organization established to provide a wilderness hiking experience by developing and maintaining the East Coast Trail, promoting public access, minimizing its impact on the natural environment and protecting it for future generations. The ECT is a highly valued, well-maintained wilderness hiking trail that showcases the rugged natural beauty and cultural heritage, stretching 336 km along the eastern edge of the Avalon Peninsula.
The Association is seeking the volunteer support of a marketing & communications professional to lead and manage the work of the Marketing & Communications Committee. We are looking for an individual who loves the ECT and is looking for an opportunity give back and add value to their community. We are seeking an individual with a proven track record to recruit, build and manage a volunteer team of professionals who share their love of the trail and all things marketing and communications. The contribution of your time and expertise, and that of your team, will help to ensure that the East Coast Trail remains a prime recreational and tourism asset for the province of Newfoundland & Labrador for many years to come.
The Marketing & Communications Committee is responsible for leading and advising on building awareness of the Trail & Association, defining and promoting its offerings and services, expanding its visitor base and enhancing its reputation. The functional scope of the committee includes: setting & implementing marketing & communication strategy, trade shows, advertising, public relations, website, social media, newsletters and team building. The Committee is managed by VP of Marketing & Communication who reports into the President and is a member of the Board of Directors.
