You may have noticed that things look a little different around here. Over the last few months, we’ve been working to bring you an enhanced and modernized website that answers all of your East Coast Trail questions in a more user-friendly way.

Since its opening in 1994, the East Coast Trail has become an anchor attraction, pulling visitors into the province, the region, and our communities. The ECT is now a destination trail that welcomes thousands of hikers from around the world each year, and there are no signs of slowing down. More and more people from our local communities are also hitting the Trail. It was a no-brainer that we needed to revamp our website to offer an improved user experience for all.

With safety and accessibility being highly-prioritized values of ECTA, we knew it was necessary for hikers to be able to access information from home or from the Trail, so our new website is compatible across all devices. Whether you’re checking us out on your smartphone, tablet, or desktop, you will see that our new website supports hiker safety, provides up-to-date trail condition reports, connects you with local businesses along the ECT, and makes it easier for you to support the Trail (check out the top right corner!).
