Wind Storms take down over 500 Trees on the East Coast Trail.
The high winds and rains in October took their toll on the Trail with over 500 trees down and not all the path reports are in yet.
The ECTA team has cleared over 100 of the trees so far. However, it is unlikely that all paths will be cleared in the 2009 season. If you are planning a hike, the list of the paths cleared and those with significant numbers of blow downs remaining will be at the office; call 738-4453 or email office@eastcoasttrail.com for an updated status.
Thanks to the ECTA team for improving our Trail and a quick response to the many blow-downs recently.
